How it all began
Autumn and Mike met in San Francisco around 2012… They initially crossed paths through mutual friends and for the next few years would occasionally bump elbows at your typical San Francisco joints. Mike and Baxter first met as most do in SF, at Fort Mason on a sunny Saturday afternoon. This meeting was very serendipitous as Mike’s middle name is Baxter (…and no, Baxter was not named after Mike nor did he eat all the cheese).
It wasn’t until Autumn & Mike joined the same Lake Tahoe ski lease in 2015 that they really started catching each other’s attention. Autumn noticed Mike’s charm and cooking skills while Mike noticed Autumn’s ability to make him laugh and smile in a way no one has ever done… not to mention all their similarities. Fate brought them together again at Salesforce where Autumn joined the recruiting team and Mike had already been working a while. One afternoon, Mike stopped by Puppyforce where Autumn and Baxter were “working hard”. That’s when they both realized there was an undeniable connection between them (as well as between Mike and Baxter).

As fate would have it, Autumn had already made the decision to move to Manhattan Beach before the sparks really took off. They spent the next two months before her move courting each other and having lots of fun adventures. From Autumn’s book club to meals cooked by Mike to fort making to endless nights of laughter, there was clearly something special between them.
Autumn moved and the two stayed in touch. They spent weekends together and tried to determine if they would stay together. They finally came to their senses, realized they were happiest when together and made it official. After one year of long distance, Mike left Never Never Land and moved to Manhattan Beach where they created a beautiful life together full of traditions, adventures, games and activities.
To really seal the deal, Mike took Autumn to the seafood dinner of her dreams at one of their favorite restaurants on 08.07.19 and later popped the question during their sunset beach walk home on the sand, right down the street from their home in Manhattan Beach.
After living with Autumn and Mike for a while, Baxter reports that they are soulmates and meant to be. He emphatically exclaimed, “These two martini making, Disneyland going, board game playing best friends are true loves and overall badass partners in life! And also great cuddlers and head scratchers.”

While we are disappointed to postpone our wedding, we can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family on 08.07.21 which is exactly two years from when we got engaged. We can’t wait to make it official and live #HappilyEverHermany!
